ATV Tour: Moray – Salt Mines (Half a Day)

Description

We invite you to be part of this incredible experience on 4 wheels, with the departure of a private transport about 45 minutes from Cusco to the CRUZPATA community in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There after a few minutes of training we will be ready to get dirty!

Itinerary

Day 1

DEPARTURES:

  • Mornings: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Afternoons: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

We start off the tour by picking you up from the hotel and then riding our transport for approximately 25 minutes to the town of Cruzpata, where we will have a 15-minute practice until the passengers are ready. The tour guide will ask each passenger if they are ready and if they do not have any problem with the ATV to begin the tour.

Once the tour passengers are ready, we will set off with our ATVs towards the experimental terraces of Moray, then we will head to the salt mines up to a certain point, where we will continue our tour with our transport due to security measures and to avoid accidents. We do this to prevent accidents from occurring in the Pampa de las Salineras (salt mine fields) and the descent, which is an abyss.

During this tour we will observe the snowy Verónica and the snowy Chicón, accompanied by a magical landscape in contact with nature and some residents of the area. To finish the tour, we will board the ATVs and make our ways back to our base where our transportation awaits us to take us to the city of Cusco. Our tour ends 3 blocks away from the main square of Cusco.

  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle (1.5l)
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat to protect from intense sunlight
  • Warm jacket for the afternoon / wind

  • Rain poncho (December to March)
